As a company founder, you can post company updates to your network and public updates to everyone. If you are a community member, you can share your update there to reach a larger engaged audience. Read more about community updates here.

3 types of updates:

  1. Updates to your shareholders and board members (private)

  2. Public updates which are visible to anyone visiting your profile (also shareholders and board members)

  3. Community updates that are available only in the community and for the community members

If your company profile is private, you cannot share public updates. You can share updates

  • to the communities you are a member of

  • privately to your shareholders and board members

  • to your followers on your company page

Keep your shareholders and followers in the loop!

A quick update on your company's progress will go a long way in building trust and attracting the right investors. Your network is keen on hearing what is happening behind the scenes of your company. Your company's story does not stop when you have closed your funding round and have the necessary investments. Quite the contrary! Keep the momentum going by posting updates to your network on your company profile.

What to post:

  • Small wins and everyday business

  • Traction updates

  • Success stories

  • New product launches

  • New hires

  • Learning points

  • New information is available in your profile. E.g. updated KPIs

How to create your update:

  1. Click on the "updates" tab

  2. Click on the company update box

  3. Choose audience

  4. Add your content

  5. Click "Publish"

Tip: Behind the lightbulb icon "Post ideas", you can find post ideas if you are unsure what to post!

Audience information:

  • Anyone: This update will be visible to all who can see your profile, including your shareholders and board members, followers AND VISITORS

    • Follower: People “external” to the company but are following the company. Followers have access to the company profile but cannot see everything and they get notified when the company posts public updates.

  • Only shareholders and board members: This update will be only visible to the privileged roles that can see everything about a company profile

    • Shareholder

    • Board member (also access to board room if activated)
