What is market potential and how to use the module

Market potential helps companies to illustrate visually as well as in text what is their current market focus and their potential.

For some companies, it can be quite difficult to make estimates of their available and serviceable market, especially in the beginning stages of their journey. Therefore only the fields you fill out will be visible to other users. Understanding the company's market potential is important to investors because it helps them estimate what the future market or potential for a product or service would look like. Investors often also work in 3-5 year timelines, which is something that you can take into consideration when filling out your information.

The module is divided into 4 sections and here is a short explainer of what type of information each of them is looking for:

  • Geographical market potential: what market(s) are potential growth areas for you

  • Current market focus: in which market are you operating at the moment

  • Estimated available market: how big is the total available market for your company

  • Estimated serviceable market: how much of the total market is reachable and can be serviced by your company.

The last section of the module is a free text, where you can go into more detail on your numbers and make your ambitions and focus more clear for potential investors.

NOTE: If you leave a field empty, it won't be displayed.

To fill it out:

  1. Open the editor by clicking one of the "Add" buttons or the pen icon

  2. Fill out your information

  3. Click "Update"
