How to keep your personal information secure

Protect your contact information

Your email address is your account identification on CrowdWorks. It is also used as an access control measure within the CrowdWorks platform. Therefore it is important that you protect your email address and password information.

Share your personal contact information only in the designated fields in CrowdWorks. You can choose to add your LinkedIn profile and phone number to your CrowdWorks profile, and then that information will be visible to other users in your network.

Password

Choose a unique password that is not in use anywhere else. Don't give your password information to anyone.

Two-factor authentication (2fa)

We recommend activating it to keep your account safe.

With 2FA, you'll need to provide a unique code when logging in in addition to your password. CrowdWorks is compatible with popular authenticator apps such as Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator or any other authenticator apps that deliver one-time passwords (OTP).

How to protect yourself from scams, fraud and phishing

Red flags

If something seems too good to be true, it probably is a scam. We at CrowdWorks are working continuously to keep CrowdWorks scam-free, but it is important that you keep your eyes open for suspicious messages.

Be wary of messages where you are asked to share personal identification information, credit card information, passwords or transfer money. The CrowdWorks team will never ask for your password information.

What to do if you suspect scam or fraud

Let the CrowdWorks team know about it via the "Report conversation" button in chats. You can also send us an email ([email protected]) or a message via messenger. Even if you only have a small suspicion that there is something off about the message, let us know.

Don't reply to the suspicious message.

Guides on how to

Withdraw invitation

You can withdraw the invitation to a user if you don't want to give them access to your company or community.
