Use data and analytics to show the potential of your company. KPIs will help your network understand your company's potential and expected return on investment.

CrowdWorks recommends choosing numbers that you can easily update every month, and that tell about the progress of your business to your investors. Add at least 2 metrics such as Revenue, Sales, Users, Burnrate or Runway. KPIs will be visible on the company dashboard in alphabetical order. It is recommended to update these numbers once a month.

You can choose which KPIs are visible only to your shareholders and board members and which ones are visible to followers.

If this is the first time adding KPIs

  1. Click on the "KPIs" tab

  2. Click "Add your first KPIs."

  3. Choose one of the templates of common KPIs or start with a blank template

  4. Check that the settings match your desires and choose the KPI visibility

  5. Click "Add"

  6. To add your first KPI numbers, click the plus icon on the KPI

  7. Add your numbers to the text fields next to each month

Tip: KPIs are organised alphabetically. If you want to change their order, add 1), 2), etc., before the name of the KPI.

KPI display settings

You have multiple options for presenting your KPIs as charts: Line, bar and number charts. Each of the charts has additional settings, which are detailed below. With all of them, you can:

  • show or hide x- and y-axis

  • determine the trend indicatior wether up is good or down is good

  • set who can see your KPI numbers: only shareholders and board, or anyone visiting your profile

1. Line chart - Best for showing trends over time

The line chart is your traditional chart that highlights trends over time. You can choose if up or down is good based on your KPI, as well as to show or hide the x- and y-axis.

2. Bar chart - Good for period comparisons

Tip: You can also compare to the value from last year

The bar chart is great for comparing values from last year, highlighting your progress. You can choose if up or down is good based on your KPI, as well as to show or hide the x- and y-axis.

You can also determine the maximum number of data points (months).

3. Number chart - Single value with trend indicator

The number chart shows the last logged number and the increase or decrease from the previous month or year, if so desired. This chart is great for highlighting single figures.

You can choose the trend indicator direction and also disable the comparison.
